Attend a Connecticut squash camp at Gaynor Squash Pavilion at Avon Old Farms School, CT. Opened in 2007, the facility boasts six world-class international singles squash courts, and one three-wall glass exhibition court. Located just outside of Hartford, CT, this is the perfect site for an International Squash Camp.

Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. Each camper will be assessed and grouped with campers of similar age and ability levels. Adjustments to the groups may be made throughout the week to provide campers with opportunities to train with and compete against different players. Drills, games, and scrimmages are designed to help each camper learn, improve, and have fun!

Connecticut resident, Sahel Anwar, has made a tremendous impact on the squash community in greater New York and southern Connecticut. As the owner & director of Premier Performance Squash (PPS), Coach Anwar has helped establish PPS as the Professional Squash Services Provider to area communities, high schools, and colleges, leading several teams to the Nationally Ranked Juniors.

Sahel is a member of the Coaching Staff of the US National Team. He travels with TEAM USA to international events, and assists in Regional Squads training sessions. He is a technical squash coach who brings awareness to the smallest details, helping players take their game to the next level. Coach Anwar has an extraordinary gift for communication. His ability to connect with students makes him a special part of our squash camp programs.

Each camper will:

  • Develop their technical skills & tactical knowledge
  • Participate in camp games with a chance to win prizes
  • Compete amongst their peers in small games & camp matches
  • Be given the opportunity to work with college &/or high school coaches & college players all week long
  • Receive an International Squash Academy Camp T-Shirt
  • …and most importantly: HAVE FUN!

Below is a suggested list of items to bring to camp. We suggest that campers do not bring expensive personal items such as cell phones or laptops. Campers are allowed to bring cell phones to camp to contact their guardians, but they are not allowed on the field during training sessions. Please label every article you bring to camp. All personal items are the responsibility of each camper. International Squash Academy and its camp staff are not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten items.

CHECK-IN

  • Overnight Campers: 2:30-3:30pm on the first day (Sunday)
  • Day & Extended Day Campers: 3-3:30pm on the first day  (Sunday); 9am the rest of the week

CHECK-OUT

  • Overnight Campers: 12pm on the last day of camp (Friday)
  • Extended Day Campers: Daily at 8pm; 12pm on the last day of camp (Friday)
  • Day Campers: Daily at 4pm (except for Friday at 12om)
