OVERVIEW

GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps returns to Avon Old Farms in Connecticut for an exciting boys’ summer lacrosse camp. This camp offers top-notch facilities, including comfortable dormitories, an all-you-can-eat dining hall, and multiple fields with both grass and/or turf surfaces. Campers will focus on improving individual stick skills and positional techniques, learning team concepts, and participating in daily scrimmages to apply what they’ve learned. Both overnight and extended day camper options are available, making it flexible for participants. With excellent training, great amenities, and an engaging environment, this camp is the perfect opportunity for young athletes to enhance their lacrosse skills and have a memorable summer experience.

Coach McAleavy was a 2016 Inductee to the UMass Sports Hall of Fame. Jim McAleavey currently ranks second all-time at the University of Massachusetts for points scored on the strength of 95 goals and a program-record 171 assists. A standout from his freshman year onward, McAleavey produced at least 49 points in each of his four campaigns while he provided the second-best single-season points total in UMass history with 91 via 34 goals and 57 assists in 1990. Lauded for his on-field accomplishments, McAleavey took home three USILA All-America honors and four NEILA All-Region awards at attack while he also represented Massachusetts in the 1991 USILA North/South All-Star Game. He led the squad in points and assists in each of his four seasons (1988-91) and his 171 career helpers are 30 more than the next Minuteman.

At GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps, every player can expect positional training through a well-rounded curriculum tailored to all ages and ability levels. The camp’s primary goal is to help young athletes improve in all aspects of their game. With a strong focus on individual skill development, campers will also engage in drills designed to enhance teamwork and game understanding.

DAILY SKILLS BREAKDOWN

Individual & Group Stick Work

CAMP SCHEDULE AND MEALS

All Campers: Check-in between 12 PM and 1 PM on the first day of camp. Pick-up is between 11 AM and 12 PM on the last day.

Extended Day Campers:

  • Check-in: 12 PM to 1 PM on the first day and 9 AM on all other days.
  • Pick-up: 8:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; between 11 AM and 12 PM on Thursday.

Meals Provided:

  • Overnight Campers: All meals included (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
  • Extended Day Campers: Lunch and dinner are provided
  • The first meal is dinner on the first day, and the last meal is breakfast on the last day.

Make sure campers bring all necessary lacrosse equipment, a refillable water bottle, & suggested items in the camp packing list. NO EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED
